Dear reader,
You are blessed. You are righteous, you are holy. God has made you like Him. Hallelujah!
God has credited you with righteousness, and all you need to do is accept this justification by faith.
And David speaks likewise of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are they whose lawless acts are forgiven, whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.”-Romans 4:6-8
Another translation puts it thus:
Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!- Psalms 32:1-2
Please play this song, and let the reality of who you are in Christ, flood your spirit.
The Apostle John puts it succinctly,
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as Christ is pure. - 1st John 3:1-3
We don’t always feel like we are right with God and justified in His sight, so scripture tells us:
Even if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things.-1st John 3:20
and
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus- Romans 8:1
Isn’t it marvellous that we can boldly stand as children of God, not because of anything we have done, but because of EVERYTHING He has done!
Thanksgiving prompt: Thank God for His love, expressed to us in Christ. Extol Him, give Him praise and gratitude, because HE IS WORTHY!
