Praise him for the pruning!
Pruning hurts, and it’s painful. However, it’s necessary for growth, and it is proof of God’s commitment to see us flourishing.
The Lord takes advantage of the painful and less than ideal moments in our lives to prune us, make us like Him and help us bear fruit.
He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.- John 15:2
Pruning hurts, and it might feel like God does not care, but in the real sense of it, it is evidence of His deep love for you, and his commitment to making you the best you can be.
And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.” Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?- Hebrews 12: 5-7
So dear reader, praise Him for the pruning. He has your best interests at heart.
