We Give Thanks- Day 12

Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”- 1 Samuel 7:12
Ebenezer- Nathaniel Bassey ft. Victoria Orenze

The Lord fought for Israel and gave them victory over the Philistines, and in gratitude to God, Samuel took a stone and set it up in the area where the battle was fought, and named it Ebenezer. Ebenezer means “Stone of help”. Whenever anybody saw the stone, they would remember that God fought for Israel and gave her victory over her enemies. We must be intentional about building altars of gratitude in remembrance, and that’s what we’re going to continue doing today.

Thanksgiving prompt- How has the Lord helped you? Think of the times you have experienced the help of God. Thank him for it. Build a memorial of thanksgiving.

I advice that you journal your thanksgiving, it will help you engage in it more consciously, and in 50 days, you will have a record of gratitude. You can play the song below as you journal.

As always, please share with a friend!
